At Iqra Islamic Store, we believe every family should be able to discover and enjoy Islamic books for their children. We want our website to be easy to use for everyone, including people with disabilities, older visitors, and people browsing on slower connections or smaller phones.

What we're doing

We are working to make our website more accessible, guided by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. So far we have:

  • Used clear headings and a simple layout so pages are easy to follow

  • Added descriptive text (alt text) to images where possible, so screen readers can describe them

  • Chosen readable fonts and good colour contrast between text and background

  • Made sure the site works on mobile phones, tablets and computers

  • Kept our menus and buttons simple, with clear labels

Known limitations

We are a small business and accessibility is an ongoing effort. Some parts of our site may not yet be fully accessible, including:

  • Some book cover images and product photos may not have full descriptions yet

  • Some content from third parties, such as embedded videos, payment pages or social media feeds, is not fully under our control

  • Arabic text inside images, such as book covers, cannot be read by screen readers

We are working to improve these areas over time.

Other ways to order

If you find any part of our website difficult to use, you don't have to use it to shop with us. You can:

  • Call or WhatsApp us on +256 742 315 876, and we'll help you choose books, answer questions about content and age ranges, and take your order directly

  • Send a voice note on WhatsApp if typing is difficult

  • Email us at iqraislamicstore@gmail.com

We're happy to describe any book to you in detail, including its story, illustrations and suitable ages.

Tell us about a problem

If you come across a page or feature that is hard to use, please let us know. Tell us which page you were on, what you were trying to do, and, if you use one, which device or assistive tool (such as a screen reader). We'll do our best to fix the problem or help you another way.
