Shipping Policy

We are committed to delivering your order quickly and reliably. Please review our shipping policy, which outlines delivery times, shipping costs, and other important details for our products.

Delivery Timeframes

  • Within Kampala: Orders delivered within Kampala typically arrive same day to next business day if order came in past 4PM EAT. (Monday–Sunday)

  • Outside Kampala (Upcountry Uganda): For locations outside Kampala, delivery usually takes 1–3 business days. Major towns may receive items in ~2 days, while more remote areas might take up to 4 days

  • Outside Uganda (International): International deliveries (outside Uganda) generally arrive in 5–10 business days, depending on the destination country and courier schedules. We will inform you of the estimated transit time when arranging international shipping. (Please note that unforeseen factors like customs clearance, local holidays, or remote locations can affect international delivery times.)

Note: “Business days” exclude Sundays and public holidays. Orders placed after our daily cutoff (e.g. after 4:00 PM EAT) may be processed on the next business day. We will do our best to meet the above timelines; if any unexpected delays occur (such as weather or transportation issues), our team will promptly inform you via phone .

Shipping Rates & Payment

  • Shipping Cost Calculation: Shipping fees are not included in the initial product checkout total. Instead, shipping rates are determined after you place your order. The shipping cost is calculated based on your delivery location (and for international orders, package weight/size and chosen courier). We will contact you with the exact shipping fee once your order is ready to ship. This approach allows us to provide the most accurate and cost-effective rate for your specific order.

  • Payment of Shipping Fees: The customer pays the shipping fee separately from the product purchase. For orders within Uganda, you will typically pay the delivery fee upon delivery – for example, you can pay our courier in cash or via Mobile Money when your package arrives. If we arrange a third-party delivery service, the rider or courier will collect the delivery fee at drop-off unless it was prepaid. For international orders, the shipping fee must be paid before dispatch of the package. Once we calculate the international shipping cost and share it with you, you’ll be able to pay that amount via an agreed method (e.g. online invoice or bank transfer). After receiving the shipping payment, we will ship your order.

  • Transparency: We understand customers prefer to know shipping costs upfront. While our system may not display the shipping charge at checkout, we will clearly communicate the cost to you as soon as possible after purchase. If you have any questions about the shipping fee for your location, please contact us prior to placing your order – we can provide an estimate based on recent deliveries to your area. Our goal is to avoid surprises and ensure you’re comfortable with the shipping arrangements.

Free Shipping Offer

We offer FREE shipping within Uganda for orders above UGX 100,000 (one hundred thousand Ugandan Shillings). If your order subtotal exceeds this amount, you will not be charged any shipping fees for delivery. We will cover the standard delivery cost as a thank-you for shopping above this threshold.

  • This free shipping offer applies to domestic orders (within Uganda) only. International orders do not qualify for free shipping, due to the higher costs of global delivery and customs.

  • The UGX 100,000 threshold is calculated on the value of products after any discounts and before any added shipping fee. If your cart total is below UGX 100,000, standard shipping charges will apply.

  • For orders that qualify, free shipping will be applied automatically when arranging the delivery (we will inform you that your order meets the free shipping criteria). If you have any doubts whether your order qualifies, feel free to contact our support.

Note: Even with free shipping, the delivery timeframes outlined above still apply. We will choose an economical shipping method to deliver your items at no charge. If you voluntarily opt for an expedited shipping method that incurs extra cost beyond standard delivery, those additional charges may not be covered under the free shipping promotion (we would inform you in such a case).

International Shipping Details

We proudly offer international shipping so that customers outside Uganda can enjoy our products. When shipping to other countries, please keep in mind:

  • Delivery Times: International transit times are typically 5–10 days, as noted, but can vary. We will provide an estimated delivery range specific to your country once we select a carrier. Major cities might receive packages faster (around 5 days via express services), whereas distant regions or those requiring inter-line shipments might be toward the upper end (10+ days). We will stay in communication and provide tracking so you can monitor progress.

  • Shipping Charges: As mentioned, international shipping fees are calculated case-by-case and paid separately by the customer before we dispatch the order. We always seek the most cost-effective and reliable courier for your location. We’ll let you know the options and costs, and proceed with your approval. Free shipping promotions do not apply to international orders, regardless of order value.

  • Customs and Duties: Your shipment may be subject to import duties, taxes, or customs clearance fees imposed by the destination country’s authorities. These charges (if any) are the customer’s responsibility. Unfortunately, we have no control over these government-imposed fees and cannot predict their amount. We recommend checking with your local customs office for any import guidelines. If any documentation is needed from our side to facilitate customs clearance, we will provide it.

  • International Delivery Partners: We will select a reputable international delivery service. Once shipped, we will provide you with the courier’s tracking number and website so you can track your parcel’s journey. International orders will be securely packaged to protect the contents during the longer transit.

Additional Notes

  • Order Processing: We aim to process and prepare all orders for shipment within 24 hours (1 business day) after you place the order. Orders received over the weekend or on a public holiday will be processed on the next business day. You will receive an order confirmation email, and we will notify you again when your order has been dispatched.

  • Delivery Schedule: Our deliveries are made Monday through Sunday. We do not dispatch or deliver on public holidays.

  • Address Accuracy: Please provide a clear and accurate delivery address, and include any important landmarks or directions (especially for upcountry addresses). This helps us and our courier partners deliver your package on time without additional communication. For international orders, please also provide any necessary information (such as a postal code, province, etc.) required by your local postal system.

  • Customer Communications: You will be kept updated on your order status. Once we have your shipping cost and dispatch date confirmed, we will reach out with those details. Additionally, when your order is on its way, we will send you a tracking link or number (via email or WhatsApp). You can use this to monitor delivery progress in real time. If there are any delays or issues, we will notify you promptly (e.g., if bad weather or unforeseen events hold up a delivery, we’ll call or message you). Our customer service team is always here to help – if you have questions about your delivery, feel free to contact us anytime.

  • Packaging: We take care to package all items securely to prevent damage in transit. Books are wrapped and cushioned, and games or toys are boxed properly. Please inspect your package upon delivery. If you notice any severe damage to the outer package, you can choose to refuse the delivery and contact us for assistance.

  • Failed Delivery Attempts: For local deliveries, if the courier cannot reach you on the first attempt, they may try to contact you to reschedule. We will also follow up to ensure a second delivery attempt. Please provide an active phone number at checkout for this reason. Repeated failed attempts may result in the package being returned to us, in which case we will get in touch to arrange an alternative solution. International shipments usually involve your local postal service or courier contacting you if you are unavailable; make sure to follow up with them using the tracking information provided.

  • Questions: If you have any questions about our shipping policy or need special arrangements (e.g., urgent delivery, gift packaging, etc.), please contact our support team before or immediately after placing your order. We’re happy to assist and make your experience as smooth as possible.
