Welcome to Iqra Islamic Store. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") apply to your use of www.iqraislamicstore.com and to any order you place with us through the website, WhatsApp, phone or in person. By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. About us

Iqra Islamic Store is a children's Islamic bookstore based in Kampala, Uganda. We sell Islamic story books, educational materials, activity books and gifts for children and families. In these Terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Iqra Islamic Store, and "you" means the person using our website or placing an order.

2. Using our website

You agree to use our website only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Use the site in a way that damages it or interferes with other people's use of it

• Try to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users' accounts

• Copy, scrape or reuse our content for commercial purposes without our written permission

• Post false, offensive or misleading content, including in reviews

We may suspend or restrict access to the website, or to your account, if you break these Terms.

3. Accounts

If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details safe and for all activity on your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone has used your account without permission. Accounts are meant for adults. Children should use our site only with a parent or guardian.

4. Products and descriptions

We work hard to describe our books and products accurately, including age ranges, content and condition. However:

• Colours and images on screen may differ slightly from the actual product.

• Age recommendations are guides only. Parents and guardians are best placed to decide what suits their child.

• Publishers may change covers, editions or packaging without notice.

If a product you receive is significantly different from its description, please contact us under our Refund Policy.

5. Prices

All prices are shown in Ugandan Shillings (UGX) unless stated otherwise. Prices do not include delivery fees, which are calculated separately (see section 8). We may change prices at any time, but changes won't affect orders we have already confirmed.

If a product is listed at a clearly wrong price because of a mistake, we are not obliged to sell it at that price. We will contact you to offer the correct price or cancel the order with a full refund.

6. Orders

When you place an order, you are making an offer to buy. Your order is accepted only when we confirm it by email, WhatsApp or phone, or when we dispatch it.

We may decline or cancel an order, for example if an item is out of stock, we cannot verify your details, or there is a payment problem. If this happens, we will tell you promptly and refund any amount you have paid in full.

7. Payment

We accept payment by the methods shown at checkout or agreed with you, which may include card payment, Mobile Money, cash on delivery and bank transfer. For orders within Uganda, delivery fees are usually paid on delivery. International orders, including shipping fees, must be paid in full before we dispatch them.

You confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method you provide.

8. Delivery

We deliver within Kampala, across Uganda, and internationally. Delivery times, fees and our free delivery offer for orders over UGX 100,000 within Uganda are explained in our Shipping Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

Delivery times are estimates. We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our control, such as bad weather, transport disruption, customs clearance or public holidays, but we will keep you informed.

Please give an accurate address and an active phone number. If a delivery fails because the address is wrong or you can't be reached after repeated attempts, extra delivery charges may apply.

For international orders, you are responsible for any import duties, taxes or customs fees charged by your country.

9. Cancellations, returns and refunds

You can cancel an order within 2 hours of placing it, as long as it has not yet been processed or shipped. Returns, exchanges and refunds are handled under our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Nothing in these Terms affects any rights you have under the laws of Uganda.

10. Intellectual property

All content on our website, including text, images, logos, graphics, product descriptions and our own branded products and materials, belongs to Iqra Islamic Store or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may view and print pages for personal use only. You may not copy, reproduce, sell or distribute our content without our written permission.

Books and products by other publishers remain the intellectual property of their authors and publishers.

11. Reviews and messages

If you send us reviews, photos, comments or feedback, you allow us to use them on our website and social media to promote our store, without payment to you. We may remove content that is offensive, misleading or unrelated to our products.

12. Links to other websites

Our website may link to other sites, such as social media pages, payment providers or courier tracking pages. We are not responsible for their content, security or privacy practices.

13. Limitation of liability

We will always do our best to provide a good service. As far as the law allows:

• We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as loss of time or opportunity, arising from your use of our website or products.

• Our total liability for any order will not exceed the amount you paid for that order.

• We do not guarantee that the website will always be available or free from errors, though we will fix problems as quickly as we can.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability where the law does not allow it to be limited.

14. Privacy

We collect and use your personal information as explained in our Privacy Policy, in line with Uganda's Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page. The Terms that apply to your order are the ones in force when you placed it.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Uganda. If a dispute arises, we will first try to resolve it with you directly and in good faith. If it can't be resolved, it will be handled by the courts of Uganda.
